Ever since I was a child, I have been captivated by the world of photography.

The first time I held my father's small camera in my hands, I instantly realized that I had discovered a "friend" who would accompany me and become my lifelong companion throughout the journey of my life.

Over the course of my 56-year career as a photographer, I experienced the scent of photographic film and the quiet serenity of the darkroom, while also witnessing the remarkable evolution of technology, which inevitably transformed the nature of my work.

From photographing for renowned record companies and documenting the works of distinguished artists, I moved into advertising and commercial photography, eventually embracing the digital presentation of photography through computers.

From the awe of making hand-crafted prints to the excitement of digital photography and printing, I embraced every stage of this evolution. Yet, as everything in nature is in constant motion and nothing remains unchanged, there came a moment when I felt the need to focus wholeheartedly on my own artistic vision - guided solely by my personal perspective and aesthetic, free from directions or commissions.

I wanted to gather the subjects that inspire and fascinate me and weave them into my own visual and emotional universe.

It was at that very moment that Oitylo Editions came into being, bearing the name of the place where my ancestors once lived - a tribute to the land that shaped my family's roots.

Thus, Oitylo became the point of reference in this tireless and adventurous journey.

Through my books, I hope to take readers with me on a nostalgic and atmospheric journey through the Greece that is slowly disappearing.

My wish is to breathe life into frozen moments, offering not only visual beauty but also a rich spectrum of emotions. I strive to preserve the authenticity of the image captured at the very instant the shutter is released, intervening as little as possible through post-processing.

Yet my artistic sensibility does not end with photography. A romantic wanderer through the many paths of the arts, inspired by my love for poetry, painting, music, and much more, I decided to create this website to welcome you into my work and the world that surrounds it.

Its purpose is not merely to present the projects I create for passive viewing. Rather, it seeks to offer ideas and artistic experiences that visitors may enjoy as a source of renewal, comfort, and perhaps even inspiration.

And because I have always believed that works of art should speak for themselves, this is where my words come to an end.
